Newsoundwales and Pride Cymru have teamed up to host a launch party at Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff on Wednesday 10th June to kick start this year’s Pride Cymru celebrations. The ‘Ignition’ event includes performances by two of Wales’ leading LGBTQ+ performers; Catty and Liam J. Edwards.
Hailing from the port town of Caernafon and now based in London, Catty’s artistry has been on a fast and uncompromising rise. Her unique blend of gothic, glam-rock-come-alt-pop makes her one of the UK’s most exciting newcomers. Catty has released several EPs gaining critical recognition along the way, being named as an NME Breakout Act, an official singles chart placing and numerous BBC Radio plays. Her stunning live reputation has seen sold out shows across London and she has supported the legendary icons Bob Dylan and Stevie Nicks.

Liam J. Edwards brings their theatrical pop music and powerhouse vocals to every stage. Amounting over 300K streams across all platforms and releasing their first Welsh language queer anthem ‘Diva’ this year, it’s safe to say Liam J. Edwards is ready to bring the energy. Serving in looks, vocals and a powerhouse stage presence.
